Kynan has come to Paris hiding a
frightening secret. His family was killed by the
gwrach-y-rhibyn and no one believed him. They
wanted to lock him up, so he fled. Aneirin saved
Kynan from a mugger. He took Kynan to his home where he
cared for him. A bond forms between them but Aneirin has a
secret too. It pains him to hide his true self from Kynan
but if he tells him, he will lose him. The fragile bond they
share is threatened when the gwrach comes and Aneirin
is forced to tell Kynan his secret.
All That Glitters has an almost ethereal
feel. It’s a sensual and poignant story. Although Aneirin’s
secret creates a lot of angst it also creates great
suspense. The gwrach is an eerie villain. She’s definitely
the stuff nightmares are made of. The fine line between
what the gwrach is and what Aneirin is, is really thin. It
makes things very interesting. All That Glitters
is a very good story with a dramatic and intense ending. |
