Grant Cooper is in the US for four years on a tour of duty with the US Coast Guard as an exchange officer.  He has always prided himself on being in control and the man to count on.  Which is why he is surprised when Julie dumps him over his attention to duty.  What he hasnít figured out is that he can have both the career and the woman.  Will he figure things out before it is too late?

Julie MacKinnon is a serious woman who is a full-time Emergency room nurse and part-time Coast Guard crewwoman, so she knows the importance of a person in command.  She also knows the importance of downtime, and when she needs to come first.

What will happen to the two when fate throws them together for a super suspenseful emergency that neither saw coming?  If they make it through, will each finally determine what is important to them?

Ooohh, Against the Current has it all, even men in uniform with a sexy accent.  This fast paced story will keep you wondering what will happen next.  Though I did get a little confused with all the reflecting back, and had to reread parts, but that is not a bad thing, as the story kept me intrigued to see what would happen next.   Against the Current also has a kick ass, over achiever heroine that we would all like to be.  For a quick read when you need your sexy men in uniform fix, you will want Against the Current.
