Lorcan has lived a solitary life by choice for a very long time now, but when he saves Kevin St. James, he can’t stop himself from falling for the young man but he’s hiding a secret. Lorcan is a vampire.

Kevin’s stepfather is a conservative politician.  He doesn’t approve of Kevin or his lifestyle and he’ll do anything to prevent a scandal, even if it means making Kevin disappear.     

The storyline in The Cost of Eternity improves as it goes along.  At first, Lorcan’s behavior seemed at odds with his personality.  He had a little Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde going on, but then Lorcan’s and Kevin’s relationship grows nicely and the danger increases too.  Kevin is a victim of attempted rape in this story.  Lorcan is kind and compassionate to him, and Kevin is endearing in his desire for Lorcan.  The Cost of Eternity is a good story and I do hope there is more.  The men’s future is not yet determined.
