Language therapist Ryan Phillips is
getting over the breakup of a relationship when he meets his
newest patient, André Thompson. André is recovering from
brain surgery and has lost his speech capability. Ryan
finds the older man attractive, but he doesn’t want to
breach the doctor-patient relationship they have. As they
work together to help Andre regain his speech, will they
gain something more as well?
Finding the Words is a
very sweet tale of healing and unexpected love. I couldn’t
help but like caring, protective Ryan. Despite not getting
anything from André’s point of view, I still sympathized
with him and rooted for him to get better. The storyline
played out in a quick and fairly predictable manner, but the
characters were so likeable I didn’t mind too much. I would
have liked to see some of André’s point of view, and I would
have liked a longer ending, but overall Finding the
Words is an emotional and enjoyable tale. |
