Lucian Prescott has come home for the funeral of his old friend Charlie. Lucien, Charlie, and Landon were once best friends, but Landon hasn’t heard from Lucien in ten years.  Landon’s feelings for Lucien have always been strong, stronger than his feelings for his current roommate, Julian. Awakening is a love triangle between Landon, Julian, and Lucien. Landon and Lucien’s past binds them together, however, an undeniable attraction draws Lucian to Julian.  The basic plot in Awakening is good, it’s exciting, suspenseful, and intense, but everything moves too fast. Most of the details get glossed over or rushed. Awakening is a bittersweet love story with a happy ending for two and an open and sad ending for another.
