Marley Tanner is working her glamorous
job when suddenly the god of all the sea dwellers makes her
an offer she doesn’t want to refuse. She loves her current
gig but to become a mermaid is a once in a lifetime
opportunity!
When she meets Xoc, the Spell Singer of
Conclave, a local cove, she becomes more embroiled in daily
merfolk life. Marley soon learns that this is just the
beginning of a new life and a longtime love.
There aren’t enough good stories about
mermaids, so of course, At the Far Waters of Forever
is a very welcome sequel to Danish Vinegar.
Fantasy and reality are gorgeously meshed together to forge
a sense of cinematic timelessness. This poignant tale
sparkles like sunlight at sea, and I guarantee it will sweep
you off your feet. Passion and loyalty, family and
friendship, sacrifice and reward are the main ingredients of
the rather straightforward plot. Marley and Xoc bring a
special beauty and life to it all, just when you think
you’ve got the whole thing figured out. The best thing
about this story is that I didn’t see what was waiting
around the bend at the climax, which made it all that much
more meaningful. |
