Devon Mitchell is a man haunted by a terrible car wreck that took the life of his ex-girlfriend.  He hides himself away from the world, until word comes to him that his late grandmother’s art gallery is experiencing “accidents.”  Determined to get to the heart of the matter, and still not ready to go back to his regular life, Devon decides to hire himself as the gallery manager.  Unfortunately, he’s displacing Jayde Seaton, the expected heir to that role. 

Jayde doesn’t like Devon from the first instant she meets him, and stealing her job doesn’t make it any better.  He has no experience, it’s clear, but she decides to move on despite her anger at the situation.  As she gets to know him, her anger doesn’t exactly recede, but her attraction to him grows.  The passion he makes her feel brings her out of her comfort zone – especially as she knows he is keeping secrets from her. 

If you are looking for a romantic suspense, try Watch Your Back!  Full of small and large mysteries, Lisa Watson keeps the reader on their toes.  The relationship between Jayde and Devon zigs and zags, but never loses the reader.  I look forward to more from this debut author.
