The lines were
drawn long ago – pure blood vampire Carden Adair on one side
and made vampire Blane, as well as the vampires he’s sired,
on the other side. At the moment Carden answers to Blane
although cracks are beginning to show.
Mortals who take
vampires as friends or lovers are especially vulnerable to
lust and more. Rory would do anything for Carden. His
feelings for the pure blood are becoming more like an
obsession as time goes on, something which Carden would like
to avoid if possible. Rory’s best friend Dennis is in over
his head with vampire Thiago, although, in their case, the
feeling is mutual.
As allegiances
shift and new players enter into the conspiracy the powers
that be shift for better positions. Some scramble for more
power while others hide with the knowledge they possess.
Carden knows that others are keeping important truths from
him. It’s time he found out what they know regardless of
the consequences. But those that are left standing in the
end might not be the lucky ones after all.
Prepare yourself
for a wickedly dark, passionate story in Rapture,
the second Blood Eclipse tale. Authors A.J. Llewellyn and
D.J.Manly give each character an individual charm or
chilling manner which is what makes Rapture so
good. The first part of the story isn’t easy to figure out
though if you missed Book 1 simply because of the large cast
and their relationships to each other. Once you have
everyone sorted out and their dynamics understood,
Rapture hurls at breakneck speed towards a riveting
cliffhanger ending. Regardless of confusion in the
beginning, I am now a fan of Blood Eclipse: Rapture
and definitely look forward to what happens next. Soon,
please? |
