Written in first person, the reader is carried away into Briony’s world.  She daydreams of the perfect lover who can give her what she needs.  And she needs it rough, raw, and rigid.  I can’t say that I loved My One, but I didn’t hate it.  I had a really hard time understanding Briony’s need for pain and winced more than once and almost had to put My One down.  Lovers of true erotica will snap My One up in a heartbeat.  I will probably only read it the once as too much sadomasochist behavior doesn’t interest me.
