Zac Mitchell and
Bryce Tellier are best friends and college buddies.
When Zac comes
out, it changes Bryce’s life. Not only does he have to face
his feelings for his friend, but his bigoted father wants
him to move out of the house they live in. Facing his
feelings for Zac in private is hard, but coming out in
public is even harder.
Becoming Us
is the perfect story about friends who become lovers. It’s
laced with tons of emotion and incredibly hot sex. Bryce’s
uncertainty and anguish over coming to terms with his
sexuality and coming out to his friends and family is
tangible, and his journey of sexual discovery is
breathtaking in its intensity. The way he loses control when
he’s turned on is very sexy. Zac is Bryce’s sensual
teacher; he’s gentle, loving, and passionate. They both get
lost in their desire, making them desperate and needy for
each other. It’s extremely erotic and exciting. Bryce is
sweet, vulnerable, and sensitive. He’s confused and a little
lost, but Zac grounds him and makes everything right.
Becoming Us is a poignant love story with a
wonderful ending. The conflict Bryce anticipates with his
family is a very big part of the story. Because he never
faces them, I felt like he and Zac, as well as the reader,
don’t get closure. I fell a little in love with Bryce and
Zac, and I’d love to read more about them. |
