What do three genius twenty-one year
old women do to show their newly found adulthood? They
decide to escape their overprotected parents and take a spur
of the moment camping trip. The three have been lifelong
friends and seem to get into the most trouble when they are
off on an adventure together. This instance is no
different. While early on the girls figure out they are not
meant to be outdoorswomen the wine helps take the edge off.
When they start talking about their lack of knowledge of the
male species each clearly desires to change their virgin
status.
Sam has just gotten out of the Navy and
is on a solo camping trip to get his brain around his new
freedom and decide what to do next in life. He never
expects to be the brunt of a project in this middle of the
wilderness.
Suddenly the three friends realize that
there is someone camping nearby on a bluff and decide to
launch “project Amazon” by kidnapping Sam. They are going
to keep him captive and learn about the opposite sex. When
Sam realizes what they have cooked up will he be a willing
participant or try to escape?
Suddenly the three must face the
tragedy of a flash flood as well as one of them having more
than one night stand feelings for Sam. Will they survive
and will Sam reciprocate the feelings?
The Amazon Project was a
fanciful and fun filled story with just the right amount of
suspense. I was unable to put it down once I started it. I
thought the three women were fun spirits together, though
serious in their own rite. Although, I have to say I don’t
see three “divas” having this kind of courage in real life,
I loved it as an escape for an evening. I look forward to
reading more of Ms. Minter’s writings and think you should
give The Amazon Project a try. |
