When Lee Stanger meets Reno Jackson at
a gay bar, they hit it off right away. Lee and Reno want to
take things slowly, only they get along really well and are
very attracted to each other, so things speed up fast. Lee
has a nagging feeling that he’s met Reno before and Reno
starts feeling it too. Do they have a future together? Or
will the past come back to haunt them?
To say Reincarnation is
intriguing would be an understatement. Every page had me on
the edge of my seat waiting to see how Lee and Reno knew
each other, so it’s a bit of a bust when they don’t really
get to the bottom of it. Lee and Reno do a lot of talking
about not going too fast too soon and yet they still go all
the way the first night they meet. Notions of familiarity
aside, it’s a contradiction. Reincarnation is
one of those stories that ends before it should. The reader
is left hanging. There is a sequel and hopefully it has all
the answers. |
