Up and coming journalist Peter Fontaine
is investigating the activity at the Pierogi Tea Café.
Crouched behind the safety of a dumpster, he hears screaming
coming from the adjacent building. Nick Olson is an artist
in the building and the man Peter is attracted to. He’s
standing over the victim when Peter rushes in. As he
investigates the murder, Peter starts looking into Nick’s
past. Could the man Peter lusts over be capable of murder?
I picked up Primal Red because I loved Nicole
Kimberling’s stories in Hell Cop 1 and 2
and she impressed me again with Primal Red.
Nick and Peter have great chemistry, both in an out of bed.
Their personalities and passion are prone to volatile
expressions. The mystery of the murder is as intriguing as
Nick’s past. Evangeline is a very colorful character. Her
artistic display of pubic toupees is genius and hilarious.
Witty, suspenseful, and sexy, Primal Red is
one of those books I started off anticipating a good read
and ended up getting so much more. It’s great. I love the
subtly of Nick and Peter’s happily ever after, but I’m
anxious to see where they go in Baby, It’s Cold Outside! |
