Silvana McCurdy’s dreams are filled with a handsome dream lover and sexual escapades that leave no desire untouched.  This wouldn’t be a bad thing if she didn’t wake up every morning exhausted.  On the subway one day Silvana can’t believe her eyes – her dream lover is there, in the flesh.  And when he touches her, Silvana nearly loses control and reveals her dragon form.  Desperate to escape and find some relief, Silvana makes a run for it and finds herself in Madame Periwinkle’s Erotic Delights.  The curious proprietress sells her a chocolate dildo, assuring Silvana that it’s exactly what she needs.  Silvana’s not quite sure how chocolate – even a chocolate sex toy – will solve her problems.  Then again, Silvana should know better than anyone that not everything is what it appears to be on the surface…

Gorgeous men, unbridled passion, and naughty edibles all blend together in the delightful Better than Chocolate.  I adored Silvana and felt bad that sex with non-dragons seemed like an impossibility to her because she sometimes loses control of her shifting.  I was eager for her to find an answer to her problems, and part of the answer comes in her all-too-real dream lover, Rafael.  This mortal man has problems of his own; problems that only can be solved with Silvana’s help.  To reveal what happens and how would be a crime; so much of the fun of the story is in discovering what happens next.  I will say that a red-hot ménage is part of it and I can definitely say that Lacey Savage knows how to heat up a room.  All in all, I’d say that Better than Chocolate is a delicious treat meant to be savored.
