A Madjin, Lt. Anna Draekus has spent the majority of her life protecting the king.  Unsure of what has happened, she is brought before a panel of her peers and is questioned by none other than Lieutenant Nevin Daniels, the one man guaranteed to make Anna pant.  For years he has been the subject of her fantasies.  When she is told to accompany him on a day mission, she doesn’t hesitate to obey.  When that mission turns into four days of solitude, Anna still doesn’t refuse Nevin anything.  And I mean ANYTHING.

I liked Parallel Fire very much.  I found Nevin and Anna’s feelings and fears to be noteworthy and realistic.  Nevin worried about his age since he was so much older just like any man would do.  Their passion for each other was steamy and sultry and wicked hot.  I blush just thinking about it!  Parallel Fire is worth reading – I should know. I’ve read it twice!
