Mathias Larsen abandoned Edmund, the one who made him, for someone who betrayed him in everyway possible including wanting to see him dead.  In his search to stop the destruction of the woman who once captivated him Mathias returned to the man he never should have left in the first place, only to find him in love with someone else and he soon found himself falling for the very sexy and very much human Darby Bell as well.

Convincing Edmund that he may be in danger and protecting him and now Darby may be a difficult task, but proving to Edmund that he still loves him may be damn near impossible. Mathias is determined to succeed regardless of the obstacles of time, resistance and the Vampire Assembly that may stand in his way.

Mercy of These Bones is a fantastic story that starts on a high intensity level, and never lets up.  Tatiana, Mathias’ evil ex is as evil as they come. She was hell bent on destruction.  Along with the tale of evil, murder and betrayal there is a hot, sexy love story between Mathias, Darby and Edmund.  Mathias and Darby are very strong characters in body, mind and will, especially Mathias.  He was the story for me, and the core of the relationship between him, Darby and Edmund.  Even though I liked the three of them together I felt Edmund and Mathias in a one on one relationship would have been just as hot.  There was never a dull moment with this story and I enjoyed every word it.  As vampire stories go Mercy of These Bones is a keeper.
