Kade Straus led a wild life that involved lots of drinking and casual sex.  Nowadays, Kade believes that his having caught the HIV virus is punishment for his wild ways.  As penance, Kade has decided to be celibate and lead a solitary life, however, deep bouts of depression land him on his best friendís doorstep.  Being celibate doesnít stop Kade from appreciating a good-looking man and Lark, the shy new resident of BK House, with his small size and cheerful character pushes all the buttons that Kade never knew he had.  But Kade will never risk exposing Lark to HIV, so the attraction is a moot point Ė or so he thinksÖ

Lark Wilsher doesnít let much in life stop him from enjoying every moment and Lark wants Kade and he is not going to let Kadeís fears about HIV stop him.   As Lark persists he starts to wear down Kadeís defenses, but will they be able to make a relationship work?

A Bikerís Vow is an emotional read that neatly deals with the reality of living with HIV.  Kade with his gruff exterior and checkered past grudgingly becomes a likeable character as he learns to live with the reality of HIV and starts a relationship with Lark.  Lark, on the other hand, is physically the opposite of Kade which colors all their interactions with mentions of Larkís daintiness along with Larkís almost cavalier approach to Kadeís HIV status. While A Bikerís Vow is a romance that travels some expected paths and the conflicts can be anticipated itís an entertaining read for a rainy afternoon.
