Liz Carlson is a Deep Magician. However,
no one in the small town in which she lives knows this and Liz
likes it that way. When a more powerful Deep Magician comes
to town and Liz senses his desire to create evil havoc for his
own selfish pleasure, she turns to the one man whom she thinks
will help; Avran Niccolayic, a vampire.
Avran Niccolayic has been alive a long
time and no one woman has ever gotten his attention like Liz
Carlson. When she comes to him for help, Avran wants to
explore what he sees in her eyes further before committing his
services. However, hormones rule even in vampires and Avran
finds himself agreeing to help Liz. Now all he has to do is
convince her that he is the vampire she has been waiting for
all her life.
I found Magic in the Blood
to be completely enticing. The story flowed, the plot worked
and the sensual tension was hauntingly beautiful. If I had to
pick a vampire to allow him to bite me, Avran would win hands
down. Sexy, intimidating and just plain arousing, he wove his
own type of magic around Liz that I thought very striking.
Liz was not a heroine to be missed either. While she
practiced deep magic, I admired her only wanting to use that
magic for good deeds instead of foul ones. Her capture of
Avran’s heart made me tingle and his capitulation was all the
more sweet.
Silvia Violet is one author that I love
reading and it is because of novels like Magic in the
Blood. I look forward to each and every novel
she releases. |
