Jemi was finally by Hunter’s side in
his world on the planet called Volter. But, everyone on
Volter was not happy with the couple’s mating, especially
since Jemi was in ownership of the body of another woman,
who was destined to be mated with another man. Jemi became
known of this fact, when she was drugged and kidnapped! Was
this the end of Jemi’s newly found happiness?
Someone was determined to keep Hunter
from taking his official place as feline ruler of Tern
Terra. First Jemi, his mate, was kidnapped and then his
only surviving cub, Slayer, vanished. And, to make matters
worse the ways to saving Jemi, and locating Slayer were in
totally opposite directions. Which path should Hunter
choose? Should he hunt down Jemi’s abductors and viciously
eliminate them for daring to kidnap and harm the woman he
loved, or should he follow his beloved Slayer to discover
the reasoning in his mysterious disappearance?
Divided Loyalties is book
two in Marilyn Lee’s The Quest series and while it
can be read independently, I would strong suggest reading
its predecessor, The Quest - Hunter’s Passion,
for a better understanding of this plot. As having read
book one within this series, I understood the jest of Jemi’s
inhabiting body and Hunter’s mixture of shape-shifting
abilities. I can easily see how one could get slightly
frustrated with the diversity of this complex plot.
Readers, I also must warn you that Divided Loyalties
is not for the faint of heart due to the numerous
love scenes in human/animal form, explicit sexual content
and ménage (m/f/m) play. But for fans who take great
pleasure in this type of interesting, naughty sexual
encounters, then this book is definitely for you. Hats off
to Ms. Lee for crafting such a wonderfully, enticing story. |
