Shelly is looking to run away from her problems and find a place where she can center her magic and stop thinking of doing nasty things to her ex.  However, when she applies for a job at the Rectory, the last thing she expects is to find Father Joseph, who has modified his vows to exclude celibacy and is also a fellow magic practitioner.

The Kept is an extremely erotic story about encounters that could lead to more.  Shelly and Father Jacob have a hot chemistry, but the book is manly about the erotic encounters and how they extend to include The Kept – a concept that is not fully explained, other than people Father Joseph hides with his magic.  While The Kept is well written erotica story with the potential to become a romance if the story had been a little longer.
