Colin and Michael have been best friends since forever, but there is a secret that they keep from each other and it’s not that they are gay.  For years Michael has been in love with Colin, but afraid of losing his friendship over a declined romantic gesture.  Meanwhile, Colin has felt the same way about Michael and he has held back for the same reasons.  Will these two ever take the chance and see what’s between them?

Tactics is a nice friends turned lovers story, but it lacks the depth and emotional pull that are typically found in works by Stevie Woods.  Both Colin and Michael are charming and funny characters, but they feel like they are acting out a teenage romance instead of an adult romance with erotic elements.  All in all Tactics is an average read, but unfortunately nothing out of the ordinary.
