Meeting
Dalton was the push Reed needed to finally give in to his
attraction to the same sex. After being with Dalton, Reed
wanted more than a one night stand, but he didn’t realize
how much he wanted it until faced with the possibility it
may not be what Dalton wants.
Dalton
knew he was gay early in life, but believed he could have a
‘normal’ life with a wife and children, he was wrong.
Although his marriage ended on amicable terms, Dalton never
entered into another serious relationship. One of the
reasons was that, even though his ex-wife knew he was gay,
they never told their children about Dalton’s sexual
orientation. Will Reed be the man Dalton would be willing
to introduce to his children?
This is
a sweet story. I really enjoyed KC Kendricks’ style of
storytelling. Dalton and Reed are two strong men who are
coming to terms with what they want and need in life. They
are both aware of the repercussions that may occur once they
are truly out of the closet so they are quite cautious of
who knows what about them. Surrendered Victory
is a great story and a terrific beginning to what could be a
very loving relationship. |
