Months after a crushing breakup, Drake
Calhoun feels the need to get away. He gets into his car
and begins to drive aimlessly, only to end up broken down in
a storm. Sexy mechanic Vic arrives and takes him and his
car to Vic’s garage. Drake thinks Vic is very attractive,
and soon finds that Vic thinks the same about him. Will
breaking down in the storm turn out to be a stroke of luck
for Drake after all?
I have mixed feelings about
Stormy Weather. The atmosphere and setting were
great. Adrianna Dane did an excellent job describing the
storm, and the outdoor scenes. I liked insecure Drake,
who’d always felt inadequate with his former lover. Vic is
sexy and kind, and suffered a tragic loss in the past, but
his character is not very well-developed other than that.
The love scenes are hot. I guess my problems with
Stormy Weather were the dialogue, which had a
tendency to be unrealistic, and the way-too-perfect ending.
Despite those things, however, Stormy Weather
is a quick and hot read. |
