A year
after escaping from prison, Bianca sought out the preacher
who helped her escape and used his influence to have her
pardoned from her crime. With a new identity, Bianca is
ready to put the past behind her and start a new life, but
first she needed Reverend Bobby McNaughton’s help one last
time. Her attempts to make contact with the high-powered
evangelist are not successful so Bianca turns her attention
to Desi, the preacher’s wild, bad boy son.
Desi
lived a rough life but he’s no longer the wild child the
media portrays him as. His life was changed for the better
over a year ago and he wasn’t going to let Bianca, no matter
how attracted he may be to her turn it upside down again.
Son of a Preacher Man is a quick read and a very
good one. I thought it was a raw and somewhat dark story.
Bianca and Desi were connected before they even met and that
connection is what gives them both the will to want more in
their lives. I really enjoyed Son of a Preacher Man;
my only complaint is I wish it were longer. |
