Working on a family friend’s ranch Malachi Hawkins is drawn to the ranch owner’s foster daughter, a woman whom he finds an intimate connection too.  Trying to keep ahead of his past Malachi looks toward a future with Christian Rose, the most spirited woman he has ever met.

Treated more like a slave than a daughter, half white and half Comanche, Christian Rose does whatever is necessary for her and her sister to survive-.   Malachi is like no man Christian has ever met and sees him as the one person to take her and her sister away from this life they don’t deserve.

Being together will not be easy for Christian and Malachi, lies and deception stand in their way.

Pepper Espinoza has a wonderful story telling talent.  She can draw her readers in from the first sentence and hold them until the last.  Maybe I’m Amazed is a great example of her talent.  This is a heart wrenching emotionally touching story.  Malachi’s and Christian’s lives were sad and empty.  They did what was needed to survive, living their lives withdrawn into themselves and trusting no one.  Finding a kindred spirit within each other breathed new life into them.  Maybe I’m Amazed will move its readers and keep them on edge right up to the climatic finish.
