Kelsey decided years ago that having
sex with the men she was dating just brought her more
heartache and pain. So she stopped. For the last four
years, she has been celibate, but she sees that time in her
life about to end as she hopes to get Stefan to propose to
her soon. That is until she meets K.D.
K.D. is a wanderer. He likes his life
the way it is. He has the freedom to go where he wants, and
do what he wants, without the responsibility of family or
commitments holding him back. He can’t see himself ever
settling down, and he is perfectly content with things the
way they are. That is until he met Kelsey.
Born Again Virgin by Sami
Lee was a cute read showing that often true love finds us
when and where we least expect it. I found K.D. delicious,
but uneven. He seemed to make some snap decisions, changing
things about himself or his desires too quickly for my
comfort. Kelsey, on the other hand, was a strong,
determined woman who knew what she wanted and was willing to
go for it. And when her options changed, she accepted that
easily and believably. I enjoyed Ms. Lee’s writing, and
the story itself, but it left me unable to suspend disbelief
enough to accept that they would have a happily-ever-after
ending. |
