Eduard
van De Lier has many secrets that only his wife, in name
only, shares with him, or so he thought. Living on his
spice plantation on the island of Java Eduard’s taste in
men, dark skinned men in particular, is very well sated.
When an old lover shows up, the life Eduard careful crafted
with his wife Marien maybe destroyed. Face to face with
Reza, a lover who satisfied him like no other during his
long voyage to Java, Eduard tries to use that seduction to
disarm Reza of the evidence that could destroy him.
Eduard’s plan backfires when his own desire for Reza burns
out of control.
All Shook Up is different and full of surprises.
Nothing is as it appeared on the surface. Eduard and his
wife Marien are very conniving, or opportunistic, depending
on how you chose to view them. They thought they had a
perfect life, Eduard with his men and Marien with her money,
but Reza threw a monkey wrench into their plans. Although I
had my suspicions about certain things in this story, I was
still surprised when they were confirmed. I was happy with
the ending, and the fact that things worked out so that
everyone got what they wanted. All Shook Up
is a good and interesting read. |
