Undercover operative Alan
Hyatt has a job to do. Evidently someone is making
technological prototypes of scientific information that the
government wants to keep secret. This information is so
hush-hush that men have starting dying and it is up to Alan to
find the culprit. This assignment leads him to Vancouver and
the series production set of actress Jillian Carlyle. Until
Alan finds the bad guy, everyone is suspect – even beautiful,
quirky red-headed actresses who arouse him like no other.
When Jillian is asked to house
a reporter doing a story on the film industry, she doesn’t
think a thing about it before agreeing. It is only when she
meets the reporter that she begins to think the rules she
lives by might need to be changed. Especially her rule of
never sleeping with a lover; although, she and Alan aren’t
resting all that much.
I know when I pick up a Lucy
Monroe novel I am going to be treated to a great story that
will keep me entertained but will also sooth my romance-loving
soul. Deal With
This is such a book. The action and suspense
started with the first page and ended just as strong. Truly a
fun and entertaining book, Deal With This
was also big on the romance. Alan and Jillian were both leery
of relationships, each for their own reasons. I love how their
minds changed as the book progressed until they were unable to
deny their feelings for each other. Once those feelings came
to the surface, the love was hot enough to scorch even the
coldest sheets.
I can’t wait to see what Ms.
Monroe has in store for readers next. I am well and truly
hooked on The Goddard Project series and will be on pins and
needles waiting for the next installment. A note to readers – Deal With This
is the second book of this series and I recommend reading book
1, Satisfaction Guaranteed, prior to Deal With This.
The character of Jillian is introduced in book 1 and readers
will enjoy meeting Jillian’s friends first before revisiting
them again in
Deal With This.
