Jaden has pined for his best friend Andy since forever. Even though he has promised himself time and again that he will forget Andy and move on.  But every time Andy calls Jaden comes running – he just can’t help himself, even if it kills him to see Andy with Jonas.  On this last trip to see Andy, Jaden randomly picks up a hooker at the airport, although he can’t explain to himself why he has done it.  However, this hooker has thrown Jaden for a spin by needling, taunting him and ultimately offering Jaden the opportunity to make his dreams come true.  But will this “new world” be a dream or a nightmare?

The Road Less Traveled is a heart-breaking romance that will leave you with tears in your eyes, even as you sigh in hope for Jaden.  Jaden is a tormented man who has created a hell for himself by not allowing himself to get over his first love – Andy.  However, the things Jaden discovers about himself when his dreams come true are enough to make him reconsider his life and what he wants out of it.  While The Road Less Traveled is not a traditional romance, it does leave the door open to the possibility of an incredible romance, but not with the players you would expect.  I enjoyed The Road Less Traveled and I encourage you to pick it up when you are looking for an angsty read to take you on a rollercoaster ride.
