Amanda ‘Mandy’ St. Claire thought she had finally outgrown the ‘Mandy’ persona and has done well for herself obtaining almost all of her goals.  The one that still remains out there is Chase Tremaine.  She has had a crush on him since grade school and he has broken her heart without much thought on more than one occasion.  But, she can’t seem to loose the crush.  She spots him at her best friend’s wedding, Chase’s sister, and as usual she finds him hot.  She on the other hand has done all she can to come off looking cool and collected.  She has contacts and cute blond hair for the first time.

Suddenly Chase and Amanda’s business lives collide.  She is threatened, though she doesn’t believe it, by the same serial killer that Chase is leading the hunt for.  She is stunned when Chase is suddenly paying attention to her, and he even seems to care what happens to her and be attracted to her.  But, will their burgeoning love be able to stand the threats that are being lobbed against them?

No Accounting for Chase proves that sometimes it isn’t only letting the years pass, to get a man to notice you; sometimes it takes a knock to the head, a death threat, or an accident to fall onto his lap.  I found this story to be a fun twist on the age old girl has crush on guy, guy blows her off, scenario.  There is a lot of action and a couple of unexpected twists along with this romance.  You will not be disappointed if you are purchasing No Accounting for Chase, and I personally look forward to more offerings by this author.
