| While checking out the hottest and very secretive BDSM
club in Manhattan, Dylan Reese, a college professor working on
his PhD at New York University never expected to find his
soul-mate there. Although he considers himself to be a
submissive and enjoys the lifestyle, Dylan was never into the
public display of BDSM clubs. He didn't want a Dom who was
into it either, that's why his attraction to the masked master
calling himself Tomas de Torquemada, was such a shock. Tomas
was indeed a master and the main attraction at Club Chained.
He knew exactly what his subs needed and gave it to them on
full display. Tomas didn't believe in love at first site, but
what he felt when he first laid eyes on Dylan was pretty close
to it.
Trying to sort out his jumbled thoughts and feeling
regarding Tomas, Dylan turns to Jack Marchand his very
attractive thesis advisor at NYU to confide in. Jack was also
active in the D/s world and Dylan found him very easy to talk
to and very comfortable to be around. He also found himself
thinking of Jack as more than a friend and advisor, and
wondering if he could find room in his heart for the very real
Jack over the illusion of Tomas de Torquemada.
Masked Submission, was a real glimpse into
the world of BDSM. This was a very interesting story even
though I still can't grasp the 'why' of this type of
lifestyle. Claire Thompson did a great job with the
characters, especially Dylan. Unlike some BDSM stories I've
read Dylan wasn't portrayed as childlike, he was very
strong-willed and strong-bodied, he made it quite clear that
his being sexually submissive did not mean he didn't want
input on decisions regarding his life. Ms. Thompson also did
a fantastic job with her research, not only did I learn about
D/s but I also learned a bit of history. |
