Arias del Rio and his servant/companion
Diego were once tied to famed explorer Cortez but time and
circumstances changed everything for the two men. They
became vampires and charted new lives for themselves.
In a tiny corner of Maine lies the
Museum of the Precious and Peculiar where Malika Carter
Young is the curator, ably assisted by co-worker Clara.
Malika is fascinated by a little known
explorer named Arias del Rio. She can’t believe her luck
when the museum manages to acquire several pieces of his
personal property. Imagine Malika’s surprise when they open
a sarcophagus belonging to del Rio and discover a gorgeous
man inside. Finding a live ‘hunk’ is nothing compared to
what happen next!
The lovemaking is steamy, fun and totally hot in
Thirst, the second tale in the Mate Marks series –
easily read as a stand alone story too. The characters are
likeable, even second fiddle Diego manages to score and find
his own happiness. There are no big mysteries here; what
tension there is doesn’t happen until the very end. All in
all though, Thirst is a spicy, romantic tale
that readers will enjoy. |
