Being
with Robert Bauer was what Jesse McIntire wanted most in the
world, but ironically, even though they were now living
together, Jesse was more alone than he has ever been. The
past five months with Robert should have been the best of
Jesse’s life, but Robert’s job kept him away from home for
long periods of time. The more Robert is away the more
Jesse’s insecurities take over. He knows Robert loves him,
however, he feels there is something other than work that
keeps Robert away.
Robert
loves Jesse with all his heart and hurting him is the last
thing he ever wanted to do. Nevertheless, that was exactly
what he was doing every time he left for his extended
business trips.
Satisfaction is a fantastic follow-up to Passion.
Robert Bauer has the man he loves, but there is something
within him that’s stopping him from giving Jesse all of
himself. In Passion it was Jesse’s hang ups Robert
had to fight through. Now the table has turned and Jesse is
trying to figure out why Robert is running from him. The
sad part is Robert didn’t realize he was keeping walls up
against Jesse until they started to tumble down. The scene
in the garage where Jesse and Robert were together with no
barriers, figuratively and literally, was a major turning
point in their relationship. It was one of the hottest
scenes I have ever read. I fell for both these guys all
over again after this scene. Readers who got a small taste
of Robert from his cameo in the The Elf and Shoemaker
and continued to follow him as he fell in love with Jesse in
Passion will enjoy how that love continued even with
its angst filled ups and downs in Satisfaction. |
