The last of her kind and trained to be an assassin since childhood, she is called Midori-no-Murakami.  Midori does the bidding of her master, the Overlord Buntaro Soseki of Nightfall.  No matter her thoughts on the subject or who the target is Midori does as she is told.

While on a secret mission for her master, Midori comes across a lone man traveling to the Festival in Jonen.  They realize that they are two halves of the same whole after making love. The man declares his desire for Midori to stay with him, but she is bound to Buntaro and cannot have a life of her own.  When Midori is given orders on a new target she knows that fulfilling the order will destroy her soul.  Her honor or her love, the choice is Midori’s.
