In the
future, humans have evolved to a level where they can single
out their true mate. Nature’s Imperative guarantees that
you will instinctively find the one to share the rest of
your life with.
The
Imperative seizes hold of Aquamarine Davis at a rather
inconvenient time in her life. The biological urge is so
persistent that she attends a local mating assembly.
Duncan
Sinclair and Conrad Montgomery attend the same assembly and
much to their surprise, discover they are mates. Captivated
and hungry for more, they rush off to get to know one
another a little better unaware they are leaving their mate,
Marina, behind.
Emotional,
hot, and unique are the words to best describe
Imperative: Missing You. Its sultry, unabashedly
erotic scenes distribute wanton heat while conveying the
most deeply romantic sentiment. The players are all
high-achieving intense types that fit together better than a
jig-saw puzzle. All the suspense just about killed me
because I shared their pain; Ms. McBride certainly made me
feel it. This author doesn’t stint either on symbolism (the
aquamarine stone, gods and color blue) or a variety of
hypothesis such as, “What if mating evolved to the genetic
level to the degree where sexual preference, race and gender
become obsolete?” Whether or not such a thing could happen
to human beings, the concept shows ingenuity. My point
here is that I will be reading and reviewing the next
installment, and it will be a true pleasure. |
