Super sexy Detective Gonzalez has been
burned by reporters in the past. Now he has the hot little
Miami Start reporter Ms. Rebecca Challenger in his life
again. She has managed to weasel into his latest case, and
he can’t help but give into his attraction after spending as
much time with her as is necessary. When she pulls away he
is very confused and is ready to give up on women all
together.
Rebecca has always been drawn to Rick,
since she first met him while covering the police beat. Now
he is the one person who can help (or hinder) her
opportunity to move to features. If she can only keep her
hormones in check, as he never appears to be interested in
her, and get what she needs for her story. When she finds
out that their attraction is mutual and they act on it, will
she confront him when rumors surface or assume they are
true?
Will Rick and Rebecca work things out
or will Rebecca’s kidnapping by a local serial killer kill
more than just their relationship? Can Rick find her in
time?
Miami Steam is a fast paced story right from
the beginning. I enjoyed how Ms. Verlaine was able to
intertwine the main characters and their personal pasts, but
their previous working interactions. The chase for the
killer is one that has a couple of twists and turns that
does not make either character happy but does pull together
the story very well. If you want a little intrigue and a
couple of sexy characters be sure to pick up Miami
Steam soon. |
