Helen Day dreams of a man watching her
die. Seeing the man from her dreams in front of her brings
her nightmare to life. Drake has no intention of letting the
intriguing woman trying to hide from him leave, when he
touches her, he can't allow her to leave. The mysterious
connection Drake has to Helen becomes a lifeline for him.
Drake is a Theronai warrior; a Sentinel who fights Synestryn
demons. Helen soon discovers that the things that go bump in
the night are real, and so is the man of her dreams, which
is good and bad. Although Helen is very attracted to Drake,
he could be the death of her, literally. Helen may be the
savior of Drake's people, if he can keep her alive long
enough to save them.
Helen is Drake's miracle, but Drake is Helen's nightmare.
Somewhere in between their perception lies the truth. As
they sort things out, the reader is treated to a host of
fascinating characters, creepy monsters, a riveting and
exciting storyline and a passionate romance. Thomas' fate
broke my heart, Logan is enigmatic, and Zach is alluring and
charismatic. Burning Alive is an engaging
beginning to the Sentinel Wars series. I'm looking forward
to reading more. |
