Brandon Townsend and Zachary Sherman
were best friends their whole lives until the day their
secret love for each other was discovered and they were
forced apart. It’s been ten years since Zach and Brandon
have seen each other. Brandon tried desperately to find Zach
to no avail. He’s always wondered why Zach didn’t keep in
touch. When they meet again, Brandon finds out why Zach
couldn’t contact him, but can they pick up where they left
off?
Like so many others. I am a sucker for a story about friends
who become lovers. The Boy Next Door is a
perfect example of why they work so well. The bond between
Brandon and Zach is very strong. By the time they are
teenagers it’s hard to imagine them not in each other’s
lives, which is why it’s so devastating when they’re torn
apart. Their initial innocent and, at times, fumbling
exploration of their bodies, is incredibly sexy. From their
early days playing baseball and swimming in Brandon’s pool
to their intense passion and love for each other, Brandon
and Zach are very endearing characters. The contrast
between their adolescent years and their adult lives is
drastic but their love never wanes. The Boy Next Door
is an erotic and very romantic love story. |
