| Rack and Daniel's romance continues in Willa Okati's 3
book sequel to 'In the Strangest Places'. Rack
and his new husband Daniel begin their working honeymoon
traveling the tattoo circuit. As indicated by the book
titles their adventure begins in New York, next they travel
to Dallas and then on to Denver. Along the way the
honeymooner's relationship is tested by outside forces and
Josh, a young man befriended by Daniel.
I believe Rack and Daniel's romance is an interesting one
to say the least. The two first met in the book In The
Strangest Places, where Daniel a sensible low-key
carpenter was hired to build shelving for Rack's new tattoo
pallor. Rack, the pierced and tattooed ball of energy had a
personality that just won me over.
I enjoyed being reacquainted with them again in the sequel(s)
Stranger Things Have Happened.
Willa Okati stayed true to their personalities but added
some character growth that would be expected to keep a
relationship alive. Daniel picked up a bit of Rack's
spitfire attitude and quirkiness, while Rack's personality
was a tad calmer, without it seeming to appear un-Rack like.
And of course, we have the steamy hot love making. Ms. Okati
has a knack of making each sex scene between these two,
sweet, funny, hot and full of love all at the same time.
With the introduction of Josh, Rack and Daniel were
pushed to look a little closer at their relationship. Even
though Josh was an antagonist to Rack and Daniel's
relationship, I was unable to have any ill will toward him.
Part of me was wishing for something I knew would not be
beneficial for the other two men.
Even though the sequel takes place over 3 books, they are
quick and enjoyable reads, but must be read in the order
given. Also I strongly recommend reading the original book
In the Strangest Places to fully understand
the depth of Rack's and Daniel's relationship. |
