Ty Newbourne and Jack Cantrell are
building a life together, working and living on Ty’s cousin
Bernie’s ranch. Ty thinks he and Jack should get their own
place, start fresh and move away from Ty’s bigoted parents.
Then Jack has a heart attack, and Ty’s world comes crashing
down. Jack will be okay, but he’ll need to make some changes
in his life. Moving out and moving on seem like a real good
plan, however, their new jobs and Ty’s mama are not making
things easy on them. They’ll get through like they always
do, together.
Jack and Ty are back in Heart of the Matter,
and this time the emotions run even higher. Jack’s heart
attack is scary and realistic. You can feel Ty’s worry for
him. Ty’s innocence with Jack sexually is both endearing and
very sexy. I love his nervousness and the way he sometimes
fumbles a bit when they are intimate. Jack’s awe of the
relationship he has with Ty is so sweet. He’s so in love
with him. It’s evident in every look and touch they share.
Heart of the Matter is another wonderful and
heartfelt chapter in Jack and Ty’s lives. I can’t wait to
see what happens next!
