As a teenager, Clark fell in love with
her brother’s partner in the police force, Jack. To Jack,
Clark was his partner’s sister and her father was the closest
thing to a father he ever had, all this translated to Clark
being off limits. On her eighteenth birthday, Clark decided
to take matters into her hands and force the issue with Jack.
What was meant to be the happiest day of her life, led to her
leaving town for seven years. All grown up and finally ready
to face her demons of yesteryear, Clark decides to return home
and finally let go of Jack. Unfortunately, her body and
emotions are rebelling against her best-laid plans.
When Jack finally admitted to himself
that Clark was there to stay in his heart and was reassured by
his partner that it was okay, he begins to court Clark. After
so much wasted time, they both want to make up for the lost
years, but Jack’s previous police case threatens their
newfound love.
Every Road Leads Back to You
is truly the meaning of the story. It was a joy to read this
story and it has such an explosive ending to the story too. I
had high expectations and at some level they were met, but I
felt the storyline was a little weak, however the ending more
than compensated for the lack. |
