Arianna (Ari), a holistic witch, has
gone to the Hell’s Ball with a couple of her friends this
Halloween night. And wouldn’t you know it, they are
immediately separated and Ari can’t locate them anywhere.
Deciding she needs a drink, Ari heads to the bar and finds
an extremely sexy bartender who immediately drives her
insane. Jake is tending bar as part of his cover for the
hotel investigations. Jake turns to find a very, very sexy
and adorable butterfly and decides that he is going to get
to know her much better. Ari discovers that Jake is a
vampire and she has a strict “no vampire” policy in dating.
As the night goes on, Ari and Jake discover many things,
erotic passion and need to begin with, but the most
important thing is that they will have to fight for their
lives before the night is over.
This Spells Trouble takes place in a Vegas
casino and during a time when humans, witches, and other
things that go bump in the night get along with each other.
Ari goes to the ball, wanting just to have a good time with
her friends and to enjoy the party. Jake is working and
making sure that no one decides to use the ball for
something other than having a good time. Halloween is a
night for celebrations, and Ari and Jake discover that some
of the celebrations can be deadly. This Spells
Trouble had me shivering from both the erotic sex
and the vampire attacks – just in different ways. I melted
as Jake and Ari found a way to solve her problem with being
with a vampire and Jake’s immediate agreement to complete
it. I will be placing This Spells Trouble
with my favorite Halloween books, but I won’t guarantee to
wait until next fall to read it again. |
