A visit to the local jeweler’s to
retrieve a repaired watch should have been a quick and
simple stop for Anke but fate has a wicked sense of humor
this day. Anke didn’t know that robbery and kidnapping were
on the agenda for her.
The pack, with Cain as their leader,
has gathered in numbers over the years. They know that they
are different, can shape-shift and most importantly know
that they don’t belong on Earth.
Anxious and irritated Anke can’t get
her kidnapper to release her as they drive farther into the
countryside. She knows somehow that Cain won’t hurt her; in
fact she is attracted to him. Cain had been told where to
retrieve a stone that would send them home plus the woman
who must journey with the pack. It is time to find out if
the so-called Portal is a hoax or truly the way home.
The Seventh Portal by author Gabriella
Bradley is an imaginative and fanciful what if tale
for sci-fi and fantasy romance readers alike. I thought
that the main characters were honest and compelling but
lacked passion or real excitement for their adventure.
The Seventh Portal is a great idea with a unique
plotline but fails to capture and hold the reader. |
