Rosemary has loved Trevor since the day
she helped coach her sister through labor. Additionally she
has been the primary caregiver for him as her sister
continues to live the party lifestyle while sponging off
Rosemary. When Rosemary accidentally overhears that her
sister is going to try and sell Trevor in the US, she is
stunned. As soon as her sister leaves, she throws together
a few things, takes Trevor and runs. She has a loose
plan—find the baby’s father, who doesn’t know he exists, and
determine if he will keep Trevor safe. She is surprised to
be caught in a severe late winter storm in the depths of
Alberta’s ranching lands. But who should show up to be her
knight in shining flannel? Jordan himself. She decides that
she won’t tell him what is going on for a bit, until she can
determine if he would love and care for Trevor as he
deserves, as she knows leaving Trevor will rip out her
heart.
When Jordan’s lawyer comes up with the
odds that Trevor will be sent back to his mother without
Jordan providing a stable home environment, both are willing
to do just about anything to keep the little guy safe. They
are shocked when the lawyer suggests a marriage of
convenience, with a time table that releases Rosemary after
Trevor is safe. While they agree to a marriage of
convenience to make sure that Trevor will stay safe, neither
really wants the marriage to be platonic, but are too
stubborn to admit it. Who will be the first to say “I love
you”, or will they wait until it is too late?
The Rancher’s Rose tells the tale of love that
is meant to be, and how one mistake may not lead to
another. Wilma Fasano sets the stage for not only
terror but also sets the foundation for a long and lasting
love. The story revolves around one sister trying to sell
her child for money, while the other escapes to the baby’s
father and finds the loving relation both she and the child
need. The author does a nice job making to story believable
as well as romantic. I thoroughly took pleasure in how
Jordan and Rosemary seem to miss each other’s signals but
would do anything for the good of Trevor. The
Rancher’s Rose is a heart-warming romantic suspense. |
