Meghan keeps her hidden yearnings inside of her.  Striving for and keeping control in her life is important to her, especially with the type of job she has.  But, in the deepest part of her soul, she would love to be commanded in the bedroom and to give up her control. Finding a rose on the sidewalk with a note inviting her to a night of submission, Meghan is intrigued and quickly decides to return the lost rose to the hotel mentioned in the note.  Once there she is directed to a penthouse suite.  Still unable to give up the rose and with curiosity getting the best of her, Meghan decides to personally return the rose.  When she steps through the door of the suite, her life is at once changed as she meets the man that she assumes left the rose on the sidewalk. 

I found this book to be at once erotic but very romantic.  Nothing does my heart as good as reading about two people coming together for a night of passion and falling in love.  Spencer was dominant and commanding.  His treatment of Meghan was realistic and I could feel him cherish her the more I read.
