Walking into the dining room of his base,
Lt. Graham Hamm spies Velvet Meadows eating by herself.
Asking his friends about her, he hears what the rumors are and
decides without finding out their truths to show her up to his
friends. Armed with secret cameras, he makes his way to her
room where he comes face to face with the real Velvet.
Velvet Meadows is an Adept. She is able
to adapt and change her body and thinking in order to survive
rough situations. No more so as when most of her friends and
fellow soldiers were killed in a bomb blast. Unable to trust
again, Velvet finds herself alone and unloved although she
would love nothing more than to be cared about and cherished.
Jed Castille has loved and been attracted
to Velvet Meadows from afar. Knowing her trust issues, he has
contented himself with watching her but when his friend and
rival Graham Hamm hurts her unwittingly, Jed can’t help but
try and be there to pick of the pieces.
Made for Two Rivals
intrigued me from the first time I saw it on the Ellora’s Cave
‘coming soon’ page. A fan girl of Madison Hayes, at first I
was hesitant because of the futuristic theme. I am so happy
that I decided to give Made for Two Rivals
a chance because it was just tremendous. Hamm’s attitude,
Jed’s caring, and Velvet’s softness warmed my heart and I
could not put this book down. I like how Hamm’s character was
written, faults and all. I could relate to Velvet’s
loneliness and often found myself a bit teary eyed. Jed, I
think, was my favorite. His adoration and patience with
Velvet just made me melt.
Made for Two Rivals is a
winner in my book! I can’t wait to see who Madison Hayes
writes about next. I love this series. |
